Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using the MedicaCare AI application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and MedicaCare Billing Inc. ("we", "us", "our"), a company incorporated in Ontario, Canada.

MedicaCare AI is a mobile application that uses artificial intelligence to help users understand health reports and lab results in plain language. The App also provides:

• AI-powered explanations of uploaded health documents (PDFs and images)
• A health information chat assistant
• SOAP note generation from voice recordings (for registered healthcare providers)
• Personal health profile tracking over time

The App is not a medical device. It is an information and productivity tool. It does not diagnose conditions, prescribe medications, or replace the judgment of a licensed healthcare professional.

• You must be at least 16 years of age to use the App.
• Doctor accounts are intended for licensed, registered healthcare professionals. By creating a doctor account, you represent that you hold a valid medical licence in your jurisdiction.
• You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.

Token system

MedicaCare AI uses a token-based system. All users receive 30 free tokens every month, automatically reset on a rolling 30-day basis. Tokens are spent as follows:

• 1 full report analysis = 10 tokens
• 1 AI chat message = 1 token

You may also earn tokens by inviting friends, opening the app regularly, or following us on social media. You can top up tokens at any time through in-app purchase.

Doctor free tier

Healthcare provider accounts receive 30 free voice note transcriptions per month, reset every 30 days. Doctor Pro subscription removes this limit entirely and adds additional features including handwritten note upload, file organiser, patient history, and bulk export.

Paid subscriptions and top-ups

Subscriptions and token top-up packs are available through the Google Play Store. All billing is handled by Google — we do not process or store your payment details. Subscription pricing varies by region.

Refunds

Subscription and purchase refunds are governed by Google Play's refund policies. We do not issue refunds directly. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at medicacareapp@gmail.com.

You agree not to:

• Use the App to obtain medical advice as a substitute for consulting a healthcare professional.
• Upload documents that do not belong to you or a person for whom you are a legal guardian or authorised representative.
• Upload illegal, fraudulent, or offensive content.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the App.
• Use the App in any way that violates applicable law, including health data regulations in your jurisdiction.
• Share your account credentials with any third party.
• Use automated tools or bots to access the App.

All AI-generated content in MedicaCare AI — including report explanations, health tips, supplement suggestions, and chat responses — is for informational purposes only. This content:

• Is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
• May not be accurate, complete, or up to date.
• Should not be used to make clinical decisions.

We expressly disclaim any liability for actions taken or not taken based on information provided by the App. Always verify AI-generated content with a qualified healthcare provider.

If you register as a healthcare provider:

• You are solely responsible for the clinical accuracy and appropriateness of any SOAP notes or documentation generated using the App.
• AI-generated SOAP notes must be reviewed and verified by you before being used in any clinical or medical record.
• You must comply with all applicable laws regarding patient data, including PHIPA (Ontario), HIPAA (USA), or equivalent legislation in your jurisdiction.
• Do not upload identifiable patient data beyond what is strictly necessary for documentation purposes.
• MedicaCare AI is not a certified electronic health records (EHR) system and should not be used as a primary patient record.

The App, its design, code, and all AI-generated content produced by MedicaCare AI are the intellectual property of MedicaCare Billing Inc.. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App for personal or professional purposes in accordance with these Terms.

You retain ownership of any documents you upload. By uploading a document, you grant us a limited licence to process it solely for the purpose of providing the AI analysis to you.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MedicaCare Billing Inc. shall not be liable for:

• Any harm, injury, or adverse outcome resulting from reliance on AI-generated content in the App.
• Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
• Loss of data, loss of revenue, or business interruption.
• Any third-party services, platforms, or technology partners used to deliver the App.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or use the App in a way that harms other users or our systems.

You may delete your account at any time from within the App (Profile → Privacy & Security → Delete Account). Upon deletion, your data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the App or email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the App after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
